I'm Dominic Armato, formerly the dining critic for Phoenix New Times (2023-24) and The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com (2015-2020). Since I'm currently not writing for anybody (other than myself) and social media is a ever-growing dumpster fire, I'm sending out a food and dining newsletter on a "whenever I feel like it" basis filled with the stuff I could have never gotten past my editors. Only there are two problems.
The first problem is that trying to get people to pass around an email address to sign up for a newsletter is a little unwieldy. It's a heckuva lot easier to post links to an actual URL. So let's get that one taken care of. If you'd like to receive a newsletter that chronicles delicious happenings around Phoenix, shows off some incredibly tasty pictures, and may or may not include the occasional crazypants ramblings of somebody who's far too obsessed with food media for his own good, drop your best email address right here:
Once a week... wooooooo, haha.... yeah, no fear of that.
The second problem is that you could say I'm a bit of an archivist. You could also say that I'm an obsessive completionist and a digital hoarder, but "archivist" has a nice ring to it, so let's go with that. Point being, folks periodically ask me where they can get a hold of previous volumes of Something to Doux, and as of right now, the answer to that question is here.
That's it. That's the answer. You're in the right place.
Scroll down, and you'll find links to (semi-)permanent online versions of the Something to Doux back catalogue. But the posts might lag a couple of weeks, so if you want first crack at the tasty stuff and you don't mind me popping up in your inbox every now and again, signing up for the newsletter is really the best way to go.
Either way, thanks so much just for checking in. Here at Something to Doux, we know you have many food media producers to choose from. Most of them are flashy, hollow shills with souls darker than chocolate roux, but still, it means everything to me that you choose us.
Stay safe and eat well!
